Senior Photo Session | Marymoor Park + Bellevue Botanical Gardens In Washington

I recently had the most amazing senior photo session, and I couldn’t wait to share the experience! We explored two of Washington’s stunning locations—Bellevue Botanical Gardens and Marymoor Park in Redmond—and let me tell you, the results were absolutely breathtaking.

Starting the Day at Bellevue Botanical Gardens

Our adventure kicked off at the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Gardens, a hidden gem filled with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and peaceful water features. As soon as we stepped in, I knew we were in for something special. The variety of backdrops was incredible, each one offering a different vibe to showcase personality and style.

We wandered through some of my favorite spots:

Urban Meadow – The colorful blooms and sweet floral scents made this area feel straight out of a dream. It was the perfect place for soft, romantic shots.
The Waterwise Garden – I loved the artsy stonework and unique plants here—it added a modern and eco-friendly touch to the session.
Yao Garden – The winding paths surrounded by lush greenery created a gorgeous natural setting, ideal for some candid, carefree moments.
Rock Garden– This spot had a totally different aesthetic, making for some truly unique shots.

As golden hour approached, the soft, warm light filtered through the trees, making everything glow. It was pure magic!

On to Marymoor Park

After capturing all that beauty, we hopped over to Marymoor Park in Redmond for a totally different atmosphere. The wide-open spaces, rustic charm, and mountain views gave us so much creative freedom.

Some of the best spots we found included:

The Tall Grass by the Airfields – Running through this massive open field felt so freeing! The shots here were full of movement and energy.
The Windmill - A great backdrop for some unique shots you can get!
Fun Bridges EVERYWHERE! - Always a great spot for walking shots and fun little poses

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into a masterpiece of oranges, pinks, and purples. The golden light wrapped everything in a warm glow, making our final portraits of the day extra dreamy. It was the perfect ending to an incredible session.

This shoot wasn’t just about taking pictures—it was about celebrating a milestone, embracing the moment, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. From the enchanting Bellevue Botanical Gardens to the expansive beauty of Marymoor Park, this experience was nothing short of unforgettable.
