We’re officially doing this.

Hi you two 🤍

First — congratulations. This season of engagement is once-in-a-lifetime and it deserves to be enjoyed.

I don’t take it lightly that you trusted me with your wedding. My goal is simple:

To document your day honestly, artfully, and in a way that feels like you.

This guide will walk you through what to expect, how we’ll work together, and a few tips to make everything seamless.

You’ve got this. And I’ve got you.

Wedding Planning Guide

This guide is your go-to resource for everything you need to know leading up to your wedding day—from timelines to engagement sessions to how to get those candid, cinematic moments you fell in love with.

If you’re getting married in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, or anywhere on the West Coast, this is designed specifically for you.

Think of this as your:

  • wedding planning support guide
  • photography + video prep guide
  • and your built-in “third wheel bff” manual

What It’s Like Working Together

From now until your wedding day, I’m not just your wedding photographer, I’m part of your team.

I’ll help you:

  • Build your wedding timeline
  • Plan your engagement session
  • Create Pinterest boards + visual direction
  • Recommend vendors if you need them

By the time your wedding day comes, we’re not strangers—we’re in sync.

Engagement Sessions (Why They Matter)

Engagement Photos in Orange County & Beyond

Your engagement session is the best way to:

  • get comfortable in front of the camera
  • understand how I guide you
  • and capture natural, candid photos of your relationship

This isn’t about posing perfectly—it’s about movement, connection, and real moments.

Popular locations in SoCal:

  • Chino Hills State Park
  • Malibu area
  • Orange County coastlines
  • Griffith Park
  • Pasadena City Hall

Popular Locations in the Seattle area:

  • City shots in Seattle
  • Discovery Park
  • Marymoor Park

What to Wear for Engagement Photos

The goal? Look like you but elevated.

Best outfit tips:

  • Neutrals + soft tones photograph best
  • Flowy fabrics create movement
  • Avoid busy patterns + logos

If you feel confident, your photos will naturally reflect that.

Getting Ready

Allow for 3-4 hours with your Hair and Makeup Artists

I'll typically show up at the bitter end of the getting-ready process unless we decide to book more hours.

Please make sure to let your Hair and Makeup team know when I'm arriving so they can plan out their timeline to the best of their ability.

First Look

Intimate Moment

2:00 - 2:20: First look

If you have any spots at your venue that you absolutely love and want to use for your first look, please let me know. If you have no idea, that's fine too! I'll have my second shooter or myself go out and scout spots beforehand.

This is a great intimate moment for private vows, getting all your wedding nerves out of your body, and just taking it all in without anyone else around. Please let me know beforehand if you plan on doing private vows so I can properly mic.

Portraits

Allow for about an hour and a half for these

2:20 - 2:40 Bridal Party Photos

2:40 - 3:10 Couple individual and together Portraits

3:10 - 3:30 Family Portraits (have them arrive about 10-15 minutes before this)

I try to take 20-30 minutes with the bridal party, formal photos of the couple, and family portraits just to have enough time to get as many creative shots as possible. I also block off some time after the ceremony to do extended family if needed, as they might not show up this early before the ceremony. And you can obviously swap the bridal party shots with the couple shots if needed.

Pro tip: Try to do 6-10 family group shots if possible to keep the day flowing quickly and smoothly.
